Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Grand Rapids, MI)

Redstone Rook Community Partners runs community programmes across Grand Rapids, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to donor records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
