Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Harbor Health and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with patient education. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
