Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Fort Worth, TX)

Bright Junction Water Authority Group is a public water utility serving the Fort Worth area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to meter reading, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around capital projects against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
