Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Fort Worth, TX)

Ironwood Bright Water Authority Group is a public water utility serving the Fort Worth area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Track costs around capital projects against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pipe repairs, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
