Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Fort Worth, TX)

Summit Timber Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Fort Worth, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around store inventory against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
