Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Detroit, MI)

Harborlight Cedar Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Detroit serving households and small businesses, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 144 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to card disputes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with card disputes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
