Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove West Arts Center Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ticketing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with ticketing.
