Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Columbus, OH)

Greenridge Mill Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Columbus, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to route schedules, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
