Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Cleveland, OH)

Summit Union Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Cleveland presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Cleveland. What you will do • Track costs around visitor services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
