Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Cincinnati, OH)

Harborlight Fern Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service alerts, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
