Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Buffalo, NY)

Ironwood Haven Medical designs and makes medical devices in Buffalo. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
