Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Buffalo, NY)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Meridian Environmental Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 133 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service complaints, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
