Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Buffalo, NY)

We are growing our team at Lumen Bright Construction and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to permits, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around subcontractor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with permits. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
