Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Austin, TX)

Northwind Oak Civic Services works with county and city offices around Austin, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Austin. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to constituent requests, and clear open items. • Track costs around case files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
