Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Austin, TX)

Bright Harbor Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Austin, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around network equipment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
