Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Austin, TX)

Harborlight Corner Learning Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Track costs around learning materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
