Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Austin, TX)

Bright North Financial is a financial-services company in Austin, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around payment disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer onboarding, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
