Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Austin, TX)

Amberfield Pike Markets is a Austin retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
