Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Anchorage, AK)

Bluepeak Iron Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Anchorage area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
