Senior Accountant - month-end close (Wichita, KS)

Northwind Fox Pharma develops and makes medicines in Wichita, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with batch records. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
