Senior Accountant - month-end close (Tulsa, OK)

Bluepeak Beacon Press is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to press runs, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with press runs. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Tulsa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
