Senior Accountant - month-end close (Tucson, AZ)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Willow Press and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around print quotes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to press runs, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with press runs. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tucson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
