Senior Accountant - month-end close (Tucson, AZ)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Juniper Legal Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to document review, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with document review. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tucson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
