Senior Accountant - month-end close (Tucson, AZ)

Cedar Stone Farms is an agricultural business based around Tucson. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around packing house output against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Tucson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
