Senior Accountant - month-end close (Tampa, FL)

Greenridge Forge Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Tampa, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with grower contracts. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
