Senior Accountant - month-end close (St. Louis, MO)

Cedar Union Health runs clinics and patient services around St. Louis. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
