Senior Accountant - month-end close (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Bridge Energy and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 80 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around hardship programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
