Senior Accountant - month-end close (Seattle, WA)

Clearpath Orchard Legal Group provides legal services in Seattle across employment, housing and small-business law, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around billing records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with trust accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
