Senior Accountant - month-end close (Rochester, NY)

Northwind Ivory Health runs clinics and patient services around Rochester. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around clinic supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with patient scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
