Senior Accountant - month-end close (Reno, NV)

Bluepeak Ashton Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Reno, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people based in Reno. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
