Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Lumen Haven Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Austin, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to complaint handling, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
