Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Amber Insurance and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 264 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Indianapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
