Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Foxglove Sable Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Columbus. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around resident services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with repair requests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
