Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Highbridge Pike Construction Group is a Albuquerque contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 744 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
