Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Ironwood West Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Fort Worth serving households and small businesses. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
