Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Bluepeak Vista Financial Group provides savings, lending and payment services from Kansas City. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Kansas City. • We reply to every applicant.
