Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Lumen Basin Health runs clinics and patient services around Cleveland. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 171 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around clinic supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with patient scheduling. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Cleveland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
