Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Clearpath Bright Press Group is a printer and publisher in Virginia Beach serving local and national clients. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around print quotes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to press runs, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
