Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Silverline Cedar Foods is a Charlotte food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 241 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
