Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Northwind Linden Inspection Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for certifications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around client sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with certifications. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
