Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Redstone Corner Learning Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for learning materials, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Families are partners. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to learning materials, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around school calendars against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with learning materials. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
