Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Greenridge Ashton Foods is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for allergen controls, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to allergen controls, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around sanitation schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Tucson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
