Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Greenridge Yarrow Foods Group is a Tucson food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around customer specifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
