Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Foxglove Drift Legal Group is a law firm in Tucson serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing records, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with billing records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
