Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Linden Foods Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to allergen controls, and clear open items. • Track costs around ingredient orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with allergen controls. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
