Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Lumen Technologies is an inspection company in Louisville with field technicians and lab staff, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
