Senior Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Amberfield Summit Construction is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around project schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to materials orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
