Senior Accountant - month-end close (Portland, OR)

Foxglove Linden Legal Group is a law firm in Portland serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 55 people based in Portland. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to court deadlines, and clear open items. • Track costs around document review against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
