Senior Accountant - month-end close (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Glen Banking Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to deposit accounts, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
