Senior Accountant - month-end close (Orlando, FL)

Ironwood Thistle Medical designs and makes medical devices in Orlando. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with training materials. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
